“I decided to start the club in the summer of 2015 when I was aged 20, the main reason being that I stopped playing football when the junior club I played for stopped (as I became too old). I had trained with numerous teams but found it a very intimidating experience. Therefore I decided if I wanted to play again I should start my own team, many of my friends felt the same so I knew I had a group of players willing to play, but little did I know how difficult the Sunday leagues would be for a group of lads who had only played junior football, many men waking up very hungover, but it’s one of the many reasons why we love what we do as you play against many different people!
Over the years we have yet to have a high moment! But we have had many many lows, including a game against a top 3 side in 2016 which we lost 9-0 having only 8 players. But our worst defeat came in 2017, it was the second game of the season, we had one the first 4-0 and morale was high but we ended up losing the second game 16-1 which was very demoralising. We have had plenty of laughs along the way and have given opportunities to over 100 people to play football for a club which is different to many others! We’ve even had both a Dutchman and a Frenchman play for us.
We are also named after a local charity to promote them as much as we can to raise awareness!
Thanks”
