Customisable Football Kits From Pendle
You’ve spent time carefully deciding which football kits to buy for your club so what now? It’s time to customise your kits. If you have a sponsor, you’ll need to think about placement. Do you want numbers? Names? What about the badge? Do you go for printed or embroidered? There are plenty of factors to consider when picking your customisation. This handy guide will help you figure it out.
Pendle Quality Customisation
Throughout a typical season, your football kits will be put to the test. This includes customisation. It needs to hold up against the action on the pitch and the countless washing cycles that they’ll have to go through. Thankfully, we have stringent in-house quality checks that ensure our garments are the best possible quality.
In-House Quality Checks
You want to be sure that any customisation will last for the garment’s lifespan. The last thing you want is a badge that cracks or fades. We do all of our customisation in-house so we can carry out regular quality testing. This includes checking the quality of the printing process, colour tests and washing tests. We make sure your kits will last as long as possible.
Football shirt printing options
We offer various types of customisation on all kits and training wear. This means you can customise your shirts however you need. The table below shows our customisation options and how much they cost.
Most of our customisation is high-quality printing but we offer the option of a printed or an embroidered club badge. Which one should you pick? It depends on your club.
High-Quality Printed Badges
Last year, we installed new printers that use a revolutionary printing technique. The new machines helped us streamline our processes and increase the quality of our printed garments. Many clubs, including most professional teams, prefer printed badges because they feel great and have high stretchability. The print is very durable and should last for the life of the garment.
Embroidered Badges
Embroidered badges are a classic choice that some clubs favour. These badges are machine embroidered onto your kits by our in-house team. The badges can make a great lasting impression but they aren’t as flexible. The backing can also be uncomfortable for some players and they aren’t recommended for rain jackets.
Should I pick a printed or embroidered badge?
This depends on several factors:
- What is your budget?
- How detailed is your badge?
- What colours do you need?
Let’s break down the differences between the two.
Cost
Printed badges are the more cost-effective choice. A printed badge costs £2.50 compared to £4.25 for an embroidered one. You will also be required to pay a one-off Jacquard fee of £25 to set up a new embroidered badge or a £15 charge for text-only embroidery.
Additional Savings
Printed badges are included in the price of all our kit and training wear deals. You can pick an embroidered badge but the cost of full team kits will increase. When you pick a printed badge, you’ll also save money on front sponsors, initials, and numbers.
Colours
Our new printing system allows us to print colourful and saturated designs on your kits and training wear. We are more limited with the colours that we can offer for embroidered badges. It all depends on what colour threads we have available.
Detail
Printed badges offer a great amount of detail and allow us to replicate your club bade easily. It is hard to get the same level of detail in an embroidered badge. If you have an intricate design, it’s probably best to go with printed.
Which would we recommend?
As much as we love an embroidered badge, we would recommend our high-quality printed badges to all clubs. As we’ve mentioned, most professional teams are choosing a printed badge these days and it’s easy to see why. They look great, feel great and offer a great amount of flexibility. Printed badges are also budget-friendly. With Pendle, you can get professional-looking kits at grassroots prices.
